Trump says ‘fire and fury’ warning to North Korea could have been even stronger

President Donald Trump said Thursday that his aggressive warning to North Korea earlier this week, when he said any provocations would be met by "fire and fury" from the United States, could have been even stronger.

“Maybe it wasn’t tough enough,” the president told reporters on Thursday at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J. “It’s about time someone stuck up for the people of our country.”

Trump earlier this week advised North Korea not to threaten the United States anymore, cautioning that if dictator Kim Jong Un’s regime doesn’t stop provoking the United States, “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
