Trump assails Sessions for ‘very weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes’

President Donald Trump renewed his attacks Tuesday morning against his attorney general, writing on Twitter that Jeff Sessions “has taken a very weak position on Hillary Clinton Crimes.”

“Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump campaign – ‘quietly working to boost Clinton.’ So where is the investigation A.G.,” Trump wrote online just after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, tacking the Twitter handle for Fox News host Sean Hannity, one of the president’s most vocal supporters, onto the end of the post.

Hannity has made a habit on his nightly Fox News show of pointing out a series of scandals he feels have gone uncovered while the press devotes attention to the multiple ongoing investigations into Russian interference in last year’s election.

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!” the president wrote in a second post that followed minutes later.
